Honestly, I wish they would go with the college box for HS. I think trying to limit someone to a very small area is kind of silly. Or take away the box all together. Even with those possible changes, we would still have to tell a coach to comply and I just cannot understand why we have to even ask in the first place.

Peace

Agree. Just keep them on their half of the court, and a few feet away from the table.

Trust me, it doesn't help. NYC uses the college box in boys and girls. The coaches complain just as much when you tell them to move back.

Forget the coaching box. Just make the area directly in front of the table a forbidden zone. That's kinda the way it's enforced around here now.

I'd be thrilled with the college box in HS games. Did a game on a college court yesterday that wasn't marked and I almost said something to one of the coaches who was near the end line. Then I noticed they hadn't marked a HS box and the coach was just coaching and I let it alone completely.

Seat belt rule in all but varsity here. That's even worse, IMO.

Rich - do you still have an 8' box too?

It was a 6' box when I moved here. It's been a 14' box for a while now.
