According to the article, they're NCCAA (as opposed to NCAA) Division II. That's the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association.

And in that case, I go back to my first thought, "I promise you Grinnel saw this as an exhibition game."

I think the running score in the book we use where I'm the official scorer goes up to 136. We've never gotten close to the maximum, whatever the exact number is. But if it is 136, Taylor exceeded that on his own.

I know it doesn't get close to 179 in the book. Hmmm …

They must use a different book at Grinnell.

David Larson of Faith Baptist (the opponent) had 70 point while shooting 34 for 44 from the field. Much better stats IMO.

But apparently most of those were gimmie layups. At least he has a story for his grandkids! (evenutually)
