How'd you like to work that one?

bob jenkins Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:01am

I've worked several teams that run that offense.

Fitting the guys name is Jack after putting it up 108 times!! Word is Carmelo Anthony is jealous and going after that in his next game:)

Combined score, that's averaging 7+ points/minute - track meet!!

Here's one take, and he pulls no punches.

In the article it mentions it was an exhibition game for Faith Baptist but not for Grinnell. I've seen that a few times and it doesn't seem right to me. One team really trying to win and the other playing their entire bench treating it as a practice game.

It depends on what each team's league consider as a "game"....who is an opponent that they can/must count.

Faces In The Crowd ...

Take a look at the photo at the top of bainsey's article. Nice crowd for an NCAA D III game, especially a game against a non-NCAA opponent.

What defense?

Most Baptist's I know will get after ya a bit more than that:D

I believe Faith is also a D-III team, albeit a far inferior one than Grinnel.

According to the article, they're NCCAA (as opposed to NCAA) Division II. That's the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association.

Thanks, I looked quick on their website.

And in that case, I go back to my first thought, "I promise you Grinnel saw this as an exhibition game."

I think the running score in the book we use where I'm the official scorer goes up to 136. We've never gotten close to the maximum, whatever the exact number is. But if it is 136, Taylor exceeded that on his own.

I know it doesn't get close to 179 in the book. Hmmm …

They must use a different book at Grinnell.

David Larson of Faith Baptist (the opponent) had 70 point while shooting 34 for 44 from the field. Much better stats IMO.
