Simultaneous Foul situation.
Situation:
A1 driving to the basket on table side is fouled in the act of shooting by B1. At approximately the same time opposite the table outside three point line, B2 is fouled by A2(thrown down in attempt to start rebounding). Both fouls are whistled by separate officials and are both reported giving a simultaneous foul situation. How are these situations handled in regards to this play? (a) Ball already released from A1's hand before both fouls occur and basket is good. (b) Ball still in A1's hande when the fouls occur, ball released and basket is good. Where is ball inbounded and are free throws shot with lane cleared or not in both situations? |

Reading rules 10-6 Penalties 1. d and 4-36 should help clear up this question for you.
