dunking the ball

If a guy dunks the ball and hangs on the rim.... can he do that?

I can imagine the jerk-ish responses that would pop up if a basketball question was posted on the baseball forum.

Wrong forum, but i will play along.
r2 out - let em play, r3 scores, r1 ends up on second due to ball thrown somewhere besides 1st. Was R2 somehow trying to prevent a double play? Probably not with no force-out opportunity? However if so, could be 2 outs, BR is the third out before reaching 1st, no run scores in this case.

baserunner

Did the shortstop establish legal guarding position? If so, I have a player control foul. (Unless, of course, the shortstop flops, in which case, it is a technical.)

Flagrant 1 foul, 2 FT's and the ball at 2B (nearest spot to where infraction occurred)?

(ducks out)

15 yards and loss of down; unless it was an untimed play.

Unless you're playing in Texas or Massachusetts...as there's no 15 yards + LOD penalty under their rule sets.

Direct Free Kick from the spot of the rim-hanging, and a yellow card for Delaying the Restart.

In Massachusetts, the offender is also not allowed to participate in the post game handshake line. The officials will be on the court to make sure that the offender doesn't participate in the handshake, but they will not have any authority to enforce the rule.
