Well in 24 hours my season will be done. Even though it will be over, this is the great time of year. A lot of basketball to watch.

Our (MTD, Jr. and I) JrHS/HS season ended this past Wednesday evening. We had both the 7th grade and 8th grade girls' championship games for a league we officiate in in Michigan; blowouts in both games.
The Official Scorekeeper (Home team scorer) in the 7th grade game told us at halftime that officials in Michigan do NOT call three-, five-, and ten-second violations in 7th grade girls games; I had called two Closely Guarded violations against her team (her team was the team betting blown out, ![]() The Host school was the Home team in the 8th grade game and they got blown out too. Evidently, Junior and I were homers (we are from Ohio and the two teams are from Michgian, ![]() ![]() MTD, Sr. P.S. Our season ends at the end of the month with the Ohio Special Olympics State Tournament Final Four (two semi-final games, one 3rd place game, and one championship game; all three-man crews), in New Philadelphia, Ohio. There Final Fours in 5 divisions at the State Tournament.

Let Me Be Brave in the attempt."
I've got a few Special Olympics Unified Games this coming weekend. A nice way to end my season.

I'm also done.
I was selected to work the Oregon 5A tourney....and was assigned a girls quarterfinal, a boys quarter final, and a boys consolation bracket semifinal. The last day's games are assigned the night before based on evaluations made over the first 3 days. I was hoping to get at least the boys 3rd place game or maybe the girls championship game....but I didn't find my name there....i was looking to see where I was only to find my name on the boys championship game.....it was completely unexpected and I was shocked and speechless. It followed, but was entirely different than, the 16-7 girls championship game that was mentioned in another thread (7 points in a championship game....7 dang points?!). It was a great game with a big crowd. I am only mad that we let a FT shooter switch on us and not get caught, I had sent the right guy to the line and somewhere between him going there to start with, and when my partner administered the FT, they swapped. They had similar numbers (21 vs. 24) and I didn't catch it. ![]() The video: OSAA.tv Video Portal
