State Regional Finals MESS

Last Night Girls Sate Regional Finals game:

A down by 2 with 4 seconds left in Q4....with 2.5 seconds left from half court A1 launches a missle that caromed off the backboard and into the hands of A2 who puts back the rebound and scores the bucket tying the game and forcing overtime.

ISSUE: The trail(Crew Chief) waves off the basket saying release was AFTER the horn and red lite...but LEAD scores the basket as GOOD. No Replay review allowed, so lengthly discussion takes place and crew decides to count the basket. 2 overtimes and B wins the game.

VIDEO: The video shows that the TRAIL was correct should not have counted!!

I don't know why the lead would count the basket. I thought trail has the clock and shot.

Agreed, unless a pre game determine that the lead has a better look at the clock based on its position in the gym. Either way, this makes a Blarge look like child's play
