Travel?

At what point do you call travelling when two of the same team players, have the ball and fighting over it.

I promise it looked like a tug of war, but neither were moving their feet, I was curious about what point is it a travel.

Do both players have to move at least one foot?

It isn't.

Just one player has to travel. No such thing as a double travel.

Billy is correct, if either player travels on his/her own, it's a travel. I had this last night in a ms boys game. Joint rebound, and A1 keeps pulling and moves his pivot foot in the process.

Oh. My. God. That's twice in two days. Jurassic Referee would be so proud of me.

In your description, could a held ball be called to avoid any potential issues?

When would it be traveling if only one of them was holding the ball? The answer is the same.

Did you say you were an evaluator?

As long as the possession arrow isn't pointing to the other team. If you did, that would certainly get the coach's attention.

Goes to show even evaluators blow a call every once in a while.
