NCAA W Sub Question

Listening to Delaware and VCU women online.

VCU player is fouled and awarded two shots but is injured and removed from the game.Sub comes in to shoot the free throws and makes both but then is immediately subbed out without the clock running.I thought that a sub for a free throw shooter had to stay on for one dead ball before being subbed for-is this not correct?

"Must sit a tick, don’t have to play a tick".

Same rule as in HS.

Note that NCAAM is different (not on how long a sub must play, but on who can shoot the FTs).
