These suggestions sounds ridiculous. But until attendance drops, things won't change. In fact, the "3, 2, 1" scoring proposed by Nevadaref is interesting. Consider what the game would be if it were implemeted. My guess is 3 guard offenses would be the way to go. And the block/charge call would happen half as much. But there would be a lot of "discussion" about "Was that a 2 or a 1?" |

Speaking of wish mode - I'd like to see you guys in the USA play on a FIBA court, trapazoidal lane and all - just like it like to see FIBA adopt 3PO for international fixtures & other high level games.
I'll keep singing that Supertramp song: dreamer, nothin' but a dreamer...

So FIBA's position on 3PO at present is that they will allow 3PO but let the competition organisers dictate whether it is used. What I am wishing for is for FIBA to adopt it and put it into place for all international competitions (starting with the men's - sorry ladies, no offense mean't) and maybe even euroleague! The FIBA committee will decide on other changes ie adopting the alternating posession rule, a smaller ball for women, changing the shot clock rule so we don't have to stop the game if the shot clock expires after the ball's left the hand and the ball strikes the rim etc, to make FIBA a bit more like NCAA in October this year. Slowly the wheels turn!
