History lesson time.
Quote:
Prior to the early 80's (and I do not mean 1880's either, ) the rule for NBCUSC (later NFHS for boys'/girls' and NCAA Men's, and even later NCAA Women's), NAGWS (women's college and in some places girls' H.S.), FIBA, and State of Iowa which was still playing six-girl basketball at the H.S. level, the rule was "contact with the backboard or rim". Then the NFHS and NCAA Men's (and later NCAA Women's) went to "on the release" and then the NFHS went back to "contact with the backboard or rim" which we still have now.So endth the history lesson. And Billy you are correct I did it from memory, and what was I supposed be writing about in this post, LOL. MTD, Sr.
