Hey Mark T. DeNucci, Sr.: How about a little help here? It's only December 1. Your attic can't be that cold.

It isn't too cold but I just got home thirty minutes ago from officiating a girls' JrHS DH with Junior and I really don't feel like climbing up there at this time of night, and I really remember when the change was made in the NFHS Rules.

That said, until the NFHS changed its rules (and the NCAA went wacko with all of its different classes of TF and POI horse manure nonsense) the NBCUSC (later NFHS and NCAA) the Captain (notice, not the Head Coach) of the team entitled to the throw-in had the right to choose from which side of the court his team would take the throw-in.

MTD, Sr.

P.S. The rules specificaly stated that it was the Captain's choice and not the choice of the game officials. And while the NCAA Rules are currently silent on the subject it would be correct from a historical standpoint to ask the Captain from which side he wants his team to take the throw-in.
