I don't doubt that one bit. His jacket has the pins to prove it.

I was thinking about slapping a pin on this season, but for some reason many people dont appreciate that.
What else should we do with the pins? Well, except for that Toren!!

Curious as to what other officials in various States do with their pin(s)??

Don't get me wrong. I actually really liked the look and I think when you earn a pin, you can do whatever you want with it. If/When I ever get to that level, you can bet your last dollar I'm buying me a nice thick jacket, instead of that crappy zipper jacket I have now and I'm putting them on that jacket.

I guess some people take it like Bill Gates flashing a bankroll in the hood.

I always thought the zip-ups were a step up from the buttons

Pins? What are pins?

I've got a medallion each time I've been, much like an Olympic medal. I can't remember a pin, maybe there was one on the packet of stuff they gave us.

Whatever there was, it's all in a closet to show my grandkids someday.

In addition to a nice plaque we get a State pin (like the ones that go on a suit jacket).
Some people wear them on the collar of their warmup jackets.

Of course you put yours away, I cant see anybody rocking an Olympic medal on the court during warmups.

I've only made it to the State Quarterfinals and b/c of the political upheaval in the local landscape and the side I took I'll probably never see the Seigel Center while wearing stripes. Don't know what those folks get, never occurred for me to ask my buddies who have made that far.

But, you're a deserving lad, IMHO. One something that I know that they get - me to escort them to their dressing room while carrying their bag! What more could one ask for?

Today was a first for me. First time I've ever had to turn in a HS or College game due to illness.

Worst I've felt I got sick while deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1998.

Be well.

Last night was a first for me. I wasn't able to complete a game due to injury. I pulled/twisted something in my left heal. It was a totally odd feeling. It felt like a thick rubber band got pulled and twisted both at the same time. Then it snapped back into place. My partners finished up without me. What's really a bummer is that I've been seeing positive results for all the rehab I've been doing for my right knee.

Me too! Got about three jackets now that I dont wear. Now have a Nike Zip up. Like the look. Got a watch from the state that I never wear. They used to give out jackets that said State Tournament Official on the breast. Of course they stopped doing that when i got down there. Interesting to see what other people wear.
