5 second count test question

On the Illinois test. All of the answers seem to be false statements. What am I missing? Thanks.
“An offensive player A with the ball while being closely guarded is restricted to 5 seconds when: A-a defender is within 6 feet and facing the dribbler while in the backcourt. B-the player is within an area in the frontcourt enclosed by screening teammates. C-there is an interrupted dribble. D-the defender breaks the 6 feet distance due to a quick move.”

In the questions it says "closely guarded", I think C is correct, because if the player has stopped dribbling, ie holding the ball and is closely guarded the 5 second count would apply.

I could have this wrong, but I think during an interrupted dribble, the 5 second count is either suspended or abandoned.

That's not the definition of an interrupted dribble.

If you look at the case book plays for closely guarded situations, that should help give you your answer.

You're right that there is a closey guarded count while a player is holding the ball and a defender is guarding within 6 feet (in the frontcourt), but you're wrong on the definition of an interrupted dribble. Look up the definition of an interrupted dribble under rule 4 (and if you don't have it, I'll post it later).

One of them is true. There is an exception to the 6-foot requirement in one situation.
