I Made Varsity!

Just found out from the commish that I made the varsity roster for the upcoming season...this has been a goal of mine since I first started calling 5th/6th grade games six years ago.

Ready to go out there and take on this new challenge! Just wish the season would hurry up and get here

Congrats. Without knowing much about your area, just be prepared for those that will not have your best interest at heart. So go into the season very prepared to overcome any mistakes you will make at that level. You should do fine, but jealousy is always apart of that level especially early in your career.

Peace

Thanks, JRut. I know this kind of thing goes on wherever you are.

One of the things I did when I started in this association was to align myself with one of the most respected, no-nonsene officials we have. I asked him to be my mentor and help steer me in the right direction. He does D1 and holds a lot of influence with the commish and other varsity refs. As long as he's around hopefully I should be able to cut through a lot of the BS that goes on.

And that makes your job easier. Congrats again and make us proud.

Congrats

I had my first varsity season last year. It wasn't a full schedule, that will happen this year, but I did have about 10 varsity games. I made some mistakes but I never felt I didn't belong.

I'm excited to hear about your advancement and am looking forward to hearing some of your 1st year stories

For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.

Congrats. Remember that this is not the "pinnacle." Keep working to improve your game.
