Not necessarily. The Spenco are designed more like custom orthotics than the cushy gel crap that most OTC insoles are, which is why my podiatrist recommended them.

Quite similar to the SuperFeet. Contrary to what many might think, your feet are probably not going to benefit by a cushy, plush padding. It may feel better initially but it is only treating the symptom.

I had gone trough a bed period of foot pain a few years ago and tried a lot of stuff. Then I got my SuperFeet. For the first couple of wearings, it actually hurt a little more. But, within about 10 days, the pain I had had for months was largely gone.

This is why you need to see a doctor and not self-diagnosis this issue alone. It could be a bigger problem that has nothing to do with just orthotics. I am sure all these things work, but you might have to lose weight (which might be suggested by a doctor) or need some treatment for an injury that is more serious.
