Any New Yorkers nervous about the recent Red Sox acquisition? The top three starters will be clearly better than NY's top three next season. Theo's working on a real closer, too. Thoughts?

Just another race to see who can buy the best team.

Exactly. As a Philliles fan I am disappointed, but not surprised, that Curt chose to go to Boston instead of Philly. He spoke of wanting to get back to Philly to end his career, but in the end money and the contract extension did all the talking.

Fenway is not exactly going to be friendly to a hard-throwing fly-ball pitcher.

I can't exactly say I'm wishing him the best.

My thoughts are that the Red Sox will still be saying "wait unti next year" again.

Thoughts?

New Yorkers have other things to do than worry about the baseball trade wire in late November.

I'll get back to you in July or so...

[/B][/QUOTE]Whatinthehell "other things" are you talking about, Dan?

Going to see the Giants or the Jets try to imitate a football team? Maybe watch those powerhouse Knicks? Or the mighty Rangers? Or maybe that college basketball dynasty- St. Johns?

Just about the only sport that you have left now is watching your cab drivers trying to run down the visiting goobers from Bah-ston!

As JR sometimes like to tell Boston fans, jealousy is such an ugly emotion. . .

By contract Yankee fans are required to also be Nets fans, we don't go in for that semi-pro football (George didn't buy the Jets yet, did he?) or that stuff they do on ice.

As for St Johns...well, I amdit that's kinda tough to watch, until they ship Jaaaaaaahvis back up to Baaaahston I guess I can root for Seton Hall, Syracuse or even Uconn.

The Nets? Brrrrrrr.....

Btw,whaddayathink? Do you sign Jabba the Hut from Chicago? Then bring back Wells at the same time, and build a new locker room just for the Fat Boyz? Or do you go after Vasquez and risk losing Nick Johnson in a trade?

Hey don't try to pin that on us. He came to you from down D.C. way. He has an A-10 connection, but I don't think he's a Boston guy, is he?

No need for the extra locker room. Jabba can just have the Gerbil's old spot.

That's quite a Boston twang he's got for a DC guy.
