The Sox just gave up a 3-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to blow what had been a 4-0 lead against. . . the freakin' Devil Rays!!!!! Where's my hug? :(

Misery loves company.

"DETROIT — Dustan Mohr used to hate Comerica Park. Now, he loves it. Mohr hit a two-run homer over the ballpark's shortened left-field fence as the Minnesota Twins and Brad Radke shut down the Tigers 3-1 Monday in Alan Trammell's debut as Detroit's manager."

I feel for ya Chuck.
Man ! It's been like ...18 years!

What do you expect as a Tiger fan? Well at least I love the Cardinals too. :D

Peace

Hey, but at least the Royals won. Probably the first time they have been above five hundred since '85.

Speaking of the Card's, thank you Don Denkinger.

Derek Jeeter dislocated his shoulder tonight. Chance he'll
be gone for the season, depending on what the tests show.

Anybody got a shortstop they ain't using? Prefer World Series experience but willing to train on the job.

BTW, is it right to be playing baseball March 31???? I mean, really...

Gonna be a long season for BOSOX fans! :p

Chuck, maybe you should tryout for the bullpen. They need a closer real, real bad!! ;)

Probably won't affect his drinking arm, though.

Of course, living in Portland like I do, I shouldn't throw stones. Damon Stoudamire and Rasheed Wallace received their sentences today for having pot in their car and rookie Qyntel Woods was reported on the local news as having been arrested this weekend for possession.

The beat goes on. We are so proud of our Blazers. :p

After a great Spring Training, I've got my fingers crossed for those Expos!

Hey, I'm no Blazers fan, but ya gotta admit, at least Rasheed hasn't been ejected for a while. And even without Pippen, they're winning! They are still about eight games ahead of the Lakers. I think Cheeks may be onto something.

Do the Tigers' batters know that they are supposed to run to first after hitting the ball?

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this picture -- the Yankees are in 1st place and the Bosox are in last place. What else could you ask for? :D

I imagine they do.
They are very young, and obviously re-building in the purest sense of the word, but bench Boss Gibson and Manager Trammell will teach and demand that the basics are employed.

They do now! Did you see Trammell\'s face after the second of those plays? I don\'t think you want your first team meeting to be a closed-door tirade, but I\'m quite certain that we won\'t see a batter taking it easy out of the batter\'s box anymore in Detroit.

That would be the Montreal Expos? Or wait, is it the Portland Expos? Maybe the Northern Virginia/Metro DC area Expos? Well, this year it\'s the Puerto Rico Expos. . . Round and round it goes; where it stops nobody knows.
