Over and Back

Had team A inbounds the ball from the sideline to player A in front court. Player A recieves the pass lands on a pivit foot in front court and his other foot lands in back court.
I had over/back. I was looking for this in the case book but could not find it. Coach for team A insisted that there is no O/B on an inbounds. I say he established a pivit in front court--over and back--We play on.
What say you?
