I'm just a simple Soldier.......

I'm not gonna worry about it.

Until someone above my pay grade, who wants me to referee for them, tells me to go out and purchase a chartreuse whistle, it's not an issue for me.

And, if they do, then that's what I'll do. I don't have to like it and I don't have to take their games if I don't want to.

We already have pink whistles (cancer awareness) and yellow whistles (military tournaments).....whatever.

We use the pink whistles when directed for cancer awareness purposes in-line with when our state emphasizes it.

Unfortunately, the whistle I was given (purchased through my Association) doesn't have the Cushioned Mouth Grip - so, I'm not a big fan.

Guess I could go out and buy another one and add it to my growing collection.

We raised over $5000 in our association for Cancer Awareness and using the pink whistle campaign. Quite a few of us also donated game fees toward the cause.

Question

Is there some reason companies are coming out with "new" whistles for referees? As far as I'm concerned, the Fox 40 works great. It's a perfect example of the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I think Miss Francis on Ding Dong School was the first one to say that. She was my hero.

You know someone will always come up with an idea that they think will be better than the previous idea. Just the way the world works. The Fox 40 is perfect for me. Do not see a need to use another whistle.

Peace

I watched Romper Room. When the teacher looked through her Magic Mirror and said, "I see Billy out there", I knew that she was talking only about me. There couldn't be any other Billy watching that day? Right?
