Season is over...

But I did have some interesting moments...

1. Had a partner bail on me before halftime. Said too much pressure.
2. Dirty tampon on court.......
3. Had a partner who loved to talk to everybody...fans,coaches,kids.... He is the T in two man JV. A1 dribbles off foot and OOB about 5 feet from endline in BC. Defender is roughly 5 foot away. But....he had his head turned talking to crowd. When his eyes returned to the court, ball is in a fans hands. He has absolutely no clue and everyone knows it. He looks at me and I just give him a blank stare. So what does he do.......A's ball.....
4. 8th grade ...Partner carried cell phone in pocket and checked it during dead balls. Totally unprofessional looking . during halftime a fan walks by and says "hey ref, at least your not missing any calls.
5. Had a partner go without lanyard. after about the third time he spit it on the floor AD made him wear one. However the only one AD had was neon green and very thick.
6.Had a BV player drivin his car hit the GV bus killing himself and many GV injuries.
7. Saw an AD go to blows with stupid parent in hallway after being kicked out.

And that's just the sanctioned events. You dont even eant to hear about rec ball and mens league

That must've been entertaining. I can't ever remember being "made" to do anything by an AD.

How uneventful my season was compared to yours. Only thing we had that you had was a clean item number 2. My partner picked it up, I didn't.
If other years are like yours this year, the book you write should be a best seller.

I will second that.

If your sanctioned stuff was this interesting, I wouldn't mind hearing about your wreck leagues either. Sounds like you already have my "sucker-punch" and "flat ball" beat. What else do you have?

Likewise. I don't know whether to be thankful or envious.

If I could remember back 20 years when I started I think my list would look somewhat like yours!
