You watch NASCAR for the wrecks. You watch hockey for the fights. And you watch soccer for the magnificent display of acting skills.

A number of years ago, McHale was trying to get fouls called on Mahorn by leaning on him. On consecutive trips down the floor, Mahorn stepped back and McHale ended up on his keister. It was pretty amusing to see.

Embellished, certainly. You can card the embellisher if you so choose, but that's still a foul.

He may be talking soccer. Divers can get carded, but sometimes the play is simply ignored.

I thought we were talking soccer in this thread.

Foul on yellow, DFK to red. Card? I probably wouldn't on this one, though I know one or two senior soccer officials that have called the foul and cautioned the embellisher on the same play.

WTH? What play are you watching?

1. Defender moves behind opponent.
2. Defender grabs opponent's arm.
3. Defender moves opponent's arm so that opponent's arm strikes defender in the face.

Basically, the defender hit himself in the face using his opponent's arm. You're going to call that foul on the player whose arm was grabbed?

Look, I don't really care what happens in soccer, but if that happened on the BB court, it would be an intentional foul on the defender.

You brought up the topic, Snaqs.

He started wincing before the contact. Don't see as much of that in the EPL or Bundesliga. They recently posted a story about a player kicking on owl on ESPN. Central America, I think.

My friend in Texas calls it NAPcar.

I often watch the first 10 laps, middle 10 laps, and final 10 laps. Naps in the middle.

Excessive multi-tasking -- I missed the grab. I didn't even look at the damn video title. (Thanks for the heads up.)

In that case, a clear caution on red. I'd wait a few seconds on the whistle, to see how the play plays out, but by the looks of this, there'd be a pretty quick IFK for yellow.
