Free throw violation

So I've it several times and trying to figure out how you enforce the following.
On second free throw on front end of bonus, opponent commits lane violation, free throw never hits rim. Do we have a double violation and go to AP arrow or is there no free throw violation? Does it need to hit the rim or go through the net to end. I am guessing double violation here. I have heard it both ways.

double violation, unless you deem the defensive violation to be disconcertion of the shooter.

So it is considered a violation for shooter if it is does not hit the room? Not just a dead ball?

If you don't deem the actions of the defense disconcertion, then the shooter has violated. We don't ignore violations on the shooter in this case. If this was a player in the lane, then we'd ignore the second violation and just call the first. If the violation is on the offense, the ball is dead immediately.

Yes, if the shooter shoots an airball or hits the backboard only, it's a violation on the shooter.

Thanks. That clears things up. Opponent didn't cause disconcertion because it happened after the ball was in flight. Had this happen twice in 1 day. Called it incorrectly the first time. Not that coaches would now the difference anyways. They were MS games.
