That joke failed to be funny well before the first time you posted it, and it hasn't improved in the approximately 100 times you've tried it here. |

Kids Say the Darndest Things ...
Airborne shooter releases the shot, returns to the floor, and is pushed by a defensive player. Ball doesn't go in. My partner, the lead, calls the foul, and states, "No shot". We're not in the bonus. As my partner goes to the reporting area, I become the new lead and I'm getting ready to administer the throwin. Fouled player is now the throwin player. He politely asks me, "Why don't I get any free throws. I was in the act of shooting?". I tell him that he was fouled after he returned to the floor, that he was no longer an airborne shooter, and that he was just a rebounder who got illegally pushed. Kid says, "You're right. I was just a rebounder. Thanks".

As the "original" author of this title, I feel compelled to say that the #1 commonly misunderstood rule is definitely the 3 seconds in the key rule, followed closely by the restrictions on a designated thrower-in (not travelling), and then either sliding/momentum after a loose ball (not necessarily travelling). All associations/groups should spend a reasonable amount of time teaching the nuances of these types of rules/situations.
My MMR Sheet was deliberately short so as to fit on one page one side. BTW Billy Mac has done a great job of expanding on what I created. Barry Alman SDCA Sports San Diego, CA |

One time, Bob Cimbollek told me a coach was complaining about a player being over the back, and Bob looked right at the coach and said, "SO!?" |
