I've heard several coaches this year do this (usually girls coaches). They don't say much at all most of the game and then when they're down 15 with a minute left they start with these types of comments. Very annoying.

I had just the opposite problem this year. Well not really a problem, not really annoying, but just downright odd. Small school girls varsity game. New head coach. Young woman, probably mid, late, twenties.

She doesn't say, "Boo", to us the entire game. Close out of bounds plays? Nothing. Close block charge situation? We could hear crickets chirping. Rough incidental contact puts her player on the floor? Nada. She sat on her bench almost the entire game, occasionally standing to coach her kids. Never said a word to us after the pregame coaches, and captains meeting. Not a single word. Really.

Sounds like a perfect situation. Right? Wrong. She was freaking me out. Really. She was freaking me out. I've been doing this for thirty years, and she was freaking me out with her silence. Thinking about blocking out her school next year. Man, she was really freaking me out.

Game management here is (as RookieDude knows) the AD, the Principal, Vice Principal, my wife, my mother, my father, & myself. That's for a WIAA 1A Classification school.

At least the guy was polite in leaving.

My partner saw the AD in the corner and started walking towards him (I had already returned from reporting the foul). He said, "Where's the AD?" and the guy said, "Don't bother, I'm leaving" and he got up and left. Had he not, he would've been escorted out by the AD.

Does everybody get a vote? If so, why don't you vote the Principal and the Principal In Charge of Vice off the island and declare yourself king?

Do you have game film? I might have a certain someone close to me that would benefit domestically from this type of behavior!

Absolutely. Have game management escort him/her to the parking lot.

There's no need for a vote, as we have specific procedures that must be followed depending on the situation.

There's a set chain of command in place.

If a tree falls in the forest but no one hears it does the irony void the sarcasm?

The primary chiefs are the AD, Principal, & Vice Principal (it all depends who is closest to the situation).

Concerning fan ejections, the AD, principal, &/or Vice Principal have the final say unless told by an official.

IOW if told by an official to eject a fan, it has to be done. Otherwise the AD, Principal, or Vice Principal have the final say.
