A first tonight...

Had a coach request a timeout he didn't have on purpose

I haven't been following Chris Webber's career lately. I didn't know he was coaching now.

There Are No Shutouts In Basketball ...

I did that when I coached middle school. We were playing an unbelievably bad freshman team. I shut down our press in the first quarter, sat the starters, for good, in the second quarter, and started our third string players in the third quarter. Our opponent still couldn't score. I started burning timeouts to insert substitutes. Finally used an excess timeout with two minutes to go in the game. They made one of the two technical free throws. They hit a shot at the buzzer to end up with three points.
