I was watching a HS game Thursday night and saw an interesting situation. Tell me what you would do.

Double foul on two guards in transition. When the foul is called the two move toward each other and come face-to-face. Another official hits them with double technical.

Where is ball put in and to what team is the ball given?

Easy...go to the point of interruption. A throw-in to the the team in control where the ball was located or if a throw-in, then a throw-in to the team entitled.

They've really made this easy for us. ALL double fouls -- ALL -- A-L-L double fouls go to the point of interruption.

If there's team control, the POI is a throw-in to the team in control at the spot closest to where the ball was when the game was stopped.

If the game is stopped during a throw-in or free throw, the POI is that throw-in or free throw.

If the game is stopped when there is no team control, and there's no infraction or goal (or end of period) involved, then the POI is an AP throw-in.
