How often does this happen?

In tonight's NBE Portland - Utah game, a technical was called on the Utah trainer for running his mouth at the refs.

How cool is that?

Can't say I can recall an NBA game with the trainer being accessed a T. Gonna have to go back and look at that one on League Pass. Would love to hear the conversation after the game between the him and coach.

Still in 1991, Steve Javie ejected the Bullets' mascot (probably what gave Curtis Saw the idea haha). I also remember reading of either Joe Crawford or Steve Javie tossing an announcer.

Would be "uber-cool" if they lost by one!

I'm guessing he won't be on the bench for a while.

Get out, and don't come back until you've redeemed yourselves ...

Our former interpreter used to tell a story about a game involving a Benedictine Catholic college where he T'ed up the priest on the bench. I really didn't believe him until my son went to the same college. Every sports team had a team chaplain, my son ran cross country, and he told me that when he attended other sporting events that the team chaplain would often be most vocal "cheerleader" on the bench, especially in basketball.

In my high school career, I've thought about warning the team chaplain on some of our Catholic high school teams, but they never seemed to cross the line. There was one nun who was quite verbal, but she scared the hell out of me, so I let it go.

I proudly say that I have T'd and ejected him from the bench. I had asked the coach earlier if he would help me keep his bench under control which he tried. We had a play on a FB where a player went in hard, no contact and ran into the wall. (Which was padded but very close to the court) Dr. Ankletaper jumps up points at me and yells, "That has to be a foul. You are going to get someone hurt". So I whacked him. He kept on and I told the coach that if he doesnt stop, we are going to have to start dealing with ejections. He had another coach escort him from the bench area. And his team lost by 5. In OT.

I don't watch much NBE, but it seems to me that a non-player / sub / coach gets a T several times a year.
