10 second count girls high school?

NYS Boys use NHS Rules. Girls use NCAAW rules with some modifications: notably on a technical foul the ball is awarded at half court opposite the table just like boys to the shooting team not point of interuption like NCAA women's. Why? I do not know. NYS girls 30 second shot clock, no 10 sec count, 5 sec holding the ball and closely guarded within 3 feet. Also use women's NCAA Mechanics fore girls HS.

Agreed. We need to regulate and have the same count across the board, otherwise girls won't be prepared as fully when they go to the bigger leagues.

Really? Are they not capable of adjusting to minor rules differences? Boys seem to do a pretty good job when they advance; is it different with girls?
