unsporting foul
The NFHS part I test has the following question: An unsporting foul may be a personal foul. a. TRUE b. FALSE - the answer by NFHS is true on the exam. Please give me an example of when this is true. I just can't figure this out, but it must be simple. Help!

NFHS rule 4-14 |

Defined
4-19-14 An unsporting foul is a noncontact technical foul which consists of unfair, unethical, dishonorable conduct or any behavior not in accordance with the spirit of fair play. (my emphasis)
NFHS is here, and in most definitions, so specific in their use of the language that it's hard to believe that this would have been anything other than an error on the question. If they wanted to ask about the foul counting against a total I would think they would have worded the question in that way. |
