Never? While inbounding the ball? Perhaps while holding the ball before a free throw attempt? Sorry Scrapper1, that is my smart-aleck side coming out.

I know what you meant Scrapper1, but there is a certain pleasure in nit-picking.:D

Even if you catch the ball in the air, land on one foot and then jump and simultaneously land with both feet after the jump?

Your resistance is surprising. Russians have for centuries been francophiles.

OK you guys, here's ten more things about me and my family. Only one is false. See if you can guess which one.

1. I was on the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite
2. I was questioned by the FBI
3. I was a contestant on a television quiz show
4. My cousin was Jimmy Carter's commanding officer in the Navy
5. I had lunch with Bobby Hull
6. I had dinner with Adlai Stevenson
7. My wife was in the Miss Oregon pageant
8. My four year old grandson plays chess
9. I entered high school at age 12
10. I own a pair of brown shoes

I know you're nit-picking, Sam, but you're actually making a terrific point. How about this version:

It's never legal to jump from one foot onto the same foot while holding a live ball inbounds; except when attempting a free throw.

Does that seem right?

Um, if do that, then you're not jumping from one foot onto the same foot, are you? You're landing on two feet, not one.

Yup but you're also still jumping from one foot onto the same foot as part of that 2-foot landing, aren't you?

Semantics only...I'm sureasheck aware that you know the correct rules.

"Location: Not where I used too!"

Not only are you using the wrong form of the word "to", but if you used the correct form, you'd still be ending your sentence with a proposition.

OOPS! Forgot the blue font. Sorry.

Judtech Fri Aug 13, 2010 04:18pm

Proposition? I think I was able to plead down to loitering!:D
