NFHS Officials Association ...

The NFHS Rules Books and Case Books are available for paid members of the NFHS professional associations and state association staff.

For several years I had to rely on the kindness of some Forum members to electronically send me copies of the NFHS online rulebook and casebook. The reason had nothing to do with the fact that I'm cheap, and, by the way, I am very cheap, I squeeze a nickel so tight that the buffalo defecates, but because I was unable to join the NFHS.

I guess that Connecticut is a state where either everyone in an entire officials organization joins, or nobody joins. In other words, there are no individual NFHS memberships in Connecticut. IAABO boards in Connecticut do not belong to the NFHS. Although we use the NFHS rulebook, and casebook, we use our own IAABO manual, and purchase our own IAABO insurance.

Finally, I got some help from a front office staff member of our state high school athletics association. He was able to "sneak" me in as an "on paper only" member of the volleyball officials group. I know little about volleyball rules, but if anybody from the NFHS asks, I'm one of those guys who works my butt off climbing up that ladder to work volleyball games. If you can call that work? Bazinga!

Apparently you're attending a college that doesn't teach spelling or sentence structure in their English classes. You should ask for a refund.

Or maybe it is the college suggested in this article: Black Voice Box Blog Archive An Ebonics Class- Why?

If his spelling and sentence structure were perfect, he wouldn't need to attend college. It seems to me his tuition money is being well spent.
