Offcourt Issues
What would you do if two members of your association were to get into an alleged altercation that led to charges being laid? Point 1 - the situation had absolutely NOTHING to do with basketball Point 2- they were not acting "officials" at the time and therefore no where near a basketball court, coaches, players or other officials. How would your association handle a situation like this if your association had a "code of conduct" in place? Should your coordinator get involved?

This is one of the things that is different where we live. We do not get involved in membership that does off the court things. The only thing I could see us getting involved in if someone violated the state procedures by being accused of a sex crime with minors or some drug charge. But a fight that has nothing to do with minors or their job as an official would not be our concern at least on the surface. And we do not give games to the membership, so that would be an issue for the assignors to decide, who we have no direct influence over.
Peace
