New NBA Mechanic...

Watching the Jazz/Nuggets game tonight and I have noticed that Scott Foster holds out his hand (similar to the mechanic for a delayed lane violation) when he knows that at the next dead ball a TV timeout is coming.

I'm assuming this isn't a new mechanic as I haven't seen it from anyone else but I just thought it was interesting.
