I got more than a few snickers coming my way -- when I ripped my pants. Just before taking the court for a f/jv double header. First year, no sewing kit, worked the first half with paper clips and staples holding the back of my pants together -- thankfully the AD found a sewing kit in a teachers desk and I was able to do a half-a** (literally) repair at half-time.
Never went to another game without a sewing kit. Thank God, someone advised me to wear black shorts under my pants!!
