It was my Dad's beer. It's now my beer.

A Catholic middle school use to offer the same, along with pizza, and hamburgers, but the coach, and athletic director, moved on to greener pastures, and now all we get is a Gatorade.

That is really fantastic, but in today's political correctness surely a dying tradiation. I hear you on the cold beer immediately after a hard work out. I remember from my motocross days, that beer after the final race of the day was the best one!

About six years ago at my son's youth club soccer game in Germany, the referee enjoyed his halftime with a large German Pils beer and a cigarette (Under-15 age group), sitting right in the middle of the loyal fans. If I remember correctly, he seemed to have a much better second half so maybe the German officials are on to something here.

Without a doubt the funniest **** I have ever read on this board.

On a more serious note, I predict by the end of the season chseagle will be reassigned outside the gym and banned from being anywhere near the scorers table.

I had this situation happen tonight during both the C-Sqaud (Visiting JV Shootaround @ Halftime) & JV (Visiting V Shootaround @ Halftime).

How I understand rules/regulations, th only ones allowed on the floor at halftime are those doing floor sweeps, dance/drill, a school-sponsored fundraiser shoot, or the teams returning from halftime. The only time allowed for a team for shootaround/warmups is the time immediately before their game. The AD allowed them to. Am just wanting a clarification.
This isn't a "situation." This is just kids who are playing in the next game getting some shots in. What's the big deal? It's not part of the officiated game. If the site administrator doesn't have a problem, why the need to step in and control.

I think we're all a little perplexed by chseagle's seeming need to bust balls and run the show. Perhaps it's just his style of writing.

We have a phrase for such kids around here: gym rats (Rattuss palestra). Whenever there is an unused hoop, they come out of the woodwork.

As an official, I will keep them off the court between the first and second period, the third and fourth period, and during timeouts, but I don't give a Rattus palestra's *** how many come out during the halftime intermission, as I said earlier, I'm taking my break, having a beer, and grabbing a smoke.

Maybe he is an eagle in old school's clothing.
