I did one where the three varisty officials got paid, but I didn't because I volunteered to help myself by doing the scrimmage. The guys bought me pizza though afterwards.

Unfortunately your question does not have a standard answer. I did two HS scrimmages over the weekend. Friday's was for pay (G+B Varsity, each paid $20). Saturday's was purely for the love of the game (okay, not entirely, but there was no remuneration from the school). I did a college scrimmage a few weeks ago where we were "paid" a school logo t-shirt and ball cap.

To get an authoritative answer you'll need to direct your question to your local board/association leadership, or to whomever scheduled you to work the scrimmage.

Like said this is a very specific situation. In my area if and when you get paid is up to the school. There is no standard procedure or how you are paid can also vary so much that there is no real way to answer this question based on my experience. This is an issue between you and the school and maybe the assignor or association that gave you the game. All we can do is speculate, but it really is not going to help you in your situation other than sharing an experience.

I am glad we could help you get some work in. Good luck with the up coming season.

Peace
