Couldn't Find This In the Book...

Hey everyone,
I couldn't find this in the case book today when I looked, although it is quite possible that I overlooked it.

If Team A inbounds from the end line and the ball is NOT touched and goes out of bounds, does Team B now inbounds from the end line or from where the ball went OOB?

I know in the NBA it is from the end line, but I couldn't find any official mention of it in the book.

My thought is that it is the same, but I am just trying to make sure I have it correct.

Thanks everyone.

NFHS. End line. It's a throwin violation.

Now let me throw you a curve. Same play, the ball doesn't touch anybody inbounds, but touches B1 who is out of bounds. What do you have?

Don't compare NBA rules to any other rule set, NFHS, NCAAM, NCAAW, or FIBA. It's apples and oranges.

Your rule reference is 9-2-2. Penalty is at the end of 9-2.

"Following a violation, the ball is awarded to the opponents for a
throw-in at the original throw-in spot."

Two shots and the ball at the division line.

Nevadaref: Be careful. A new batch of officials just passed the test, and have recently discovered this Forum. Most of them probably think that you're a god and would believe anything that you say.

Unless it's followed by a wink?

Only if two things are in play:
1. B1 is out along the same boundary line as the throwin.
2. B has already been issued their warning.

I guess I probably should have just tried to look it up in the rule book as opposed to going through the case book.

Thanks everyone for your help.
