Our state regulates that anything below 9th grade has to play 6-minute quarters. Any game played with all 9th graders (freshman game) can be played in 6 or 7-minute quarters. JV can play 7 or 8-minute quarters.

Not if they are IESA schools. 6 minute quarters. You will also want to check the number of quarters a night a kid can play. The different JH associations have different rules. But that's a problem for the table and the coaches, not the referees.
