Tagging on to Rut's reply, our area seems to be fine. That said, due to the economy there seems to be an influx of newer officials and veteran casual ones looking for more games. A recent area clinic in Chicago area drew more than 400 officials which I believe was a record.

Regarding my games, I've expanded my assignors for Varsity assignments as more refs are having a higher profile. Easier getting a handful of games from 6-7 assignors rather than relying on 1 or 2. My 'universe' has expanded geographically which I don't mind for Varsity dates as part of my buzz are new conferences and schools.
