Tried that before. I sweat quite profusely, and the chemical reaction between the Liquid Stitch and my sweat caused the Liquid Stitch to stain not only my striped shirt, but my undershirt as well. I tried cleaning it off to no avail. It ended up being a one-game experiment.

Heat'n Bond Ultra Hold Iron-On Adhesive ...
This will do the job, if you desire a permanent bond. I use it to bond American flag patches to my lab coats at work.

Look Carefully At The Photo ...
No it wouldn't. There are no staples in it.

CR - does this cause you to go through more shirts (ripping, tearing, snags?) Just curious. Then again, how long do you guys wear shirts before you replace em? Again, just curious.

The trick is carefully lining up the velcro strips when attaching them to the shirt/patch and then carefully attaching the patch to the shirt. There is no reason for the hard loops to ever contact the shirt and create a mess....I have seen that on people who directly attach the velcro'd patch to the shirt fabric. I keep mine for several years....but my oldest shirt still look essentially new. I've upgraded largely for comfort or appearance (not from wear but for new versions of mesh or shirts that keep you cooler). I still have shirts that I had when we switched to V-neck from the byron collar....they look fine but they are my last resort since they're the plain polyester shirts....meaning hot.

Funny you post that, I actually had a guy on my football crew who packed a stapler just to staple his patch on every week. He even packed the staple remover (yeah, the jaws looking thing) to remove the patch so it wouldn't snag, and he'd be ready for his subvarsity or kiddies game the next morning. Unbelieveable!
