Bite Your Whistle!

Boys Varsity last night, Hplayer going out of bounds with the ball and bounces ball off of one of two visiting players, I couldn't tell which visiting player it went off at first, but about a second after the ball went out of bounds, I hear this horrid groan and look to see V23 holding his gonads in his hand and going to his knees, the ball had dead centered him right in the crouch. I meekly said, "uh off you, white ball." Coach immediatley subbed out new soprano. Players from both teams were grinning and snickering, I tried to be stoic, and almost bit my whistle in half trying not to grin myself. Might be one of those plays were you DIDN'T htbt!

Just think what you would have had to said if Kentucky was on the road and the ball went off of white.

Whew, I wouldn't have wanted to say anything when old Adolph Rupp was around.

JVB game a few weeks ago. H has a male cheerleader. His entire appearance and demeanor indicate he is gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) and he is doing nothing to hide it.

He is very demonstrative, enthusiastic, and really into the game along the H endline. Midway thru the forth qtr one of the H players throws a baseball pass that misses his intended team mate and hits the cheerleader right in the groin! He let out a very non-masculine, high pitched - oooh! The entire crowd gasped. He doubles over and "walks" toward the side of the court in obvious discomfort. The crowd was absolutely stunned. Some smiling, some wincing, but no one missed it! My partner and I "bit our whistles" in order to stop from laughing......(no comments please).

He recovered after a few minutes......but, was a little less "enthusiastic" about the rest of the game.

I had a partner that called a T for this. He was asked if he thought it was intentional or not, and said, "it didn't matter, throw it off his legs not his jewels." Absolutely no way it was an intentional act and the throwers actions afterwords would support that as well as he went over and was trying to do whatever he could for him. Not sure how it was unsporting as much as accidental trajectory.

Stupid T. Had a player last week throw it off an opponent's head, but it was completely unintentional; she had her back to the court and was loosing her balance and threw where she wasn't looking.
