The team that plays the best...
Hello, it's been a while since I've been here, however, I once read on this forum an "article" if you will. It spoke of the best team and the team the plays the best.
I wonder if anyone a) recalls the story and b) can find it and post or forward it to me? I appreciate your help as I will be leading a disussion at our next board meeting and would like to share the article with my peers. It also may be helpful to any new members who have not seen it!! - - Suppref |

Did the thread in question point to an article on a different website? In other words, did it have a link in the thread?
Or was the a copy and paste from somewhere else on the web? Approximately what time frame do you think the thread was started? Do you know of any particular user that posted in the thread?

All very good questions...
All I remember is that someone posted it and I thought it was a tremendous tool to help new officials gain a feel for the game.
It spoke of how fast beats slow, tall beats short and strong beats weak, and how we shouldn't penalize those attributes as long as they clearly don't violate. Therefore the best team shouldn't win the game, the team that plays the best should. It was probably four or five years ago, I appreciate the effort. |
