That's a relief......
What’s great about this photo is - we’re all anonymous as we chat via the web, but now at least I know what one of you looks like!

![]() When I started(1959-60), the approved uni was a long-sleeved, broadcloth, black and white striped shirt buttoned at the wrist, gray slacks, white socks, white shoes. And you sureashell weren't allowed to roll the long sleeves up like the ref in the picture did. This looks like maybe circa mid to late '60s. You couldn't get Converse Chuck Taylors high tops or lo's in black until then...they started making 'em for the Celtics...and that looks like what he was wearing. |

When I started we wore bearskins and carried clubs to impose technicals. Oh yeah - since shoes weren't invented yet, we were barefoot. It was hard to tell the players apart since numbers weren't invented yet either and everyone was named "Og". We kept score with smoke signals and after each game, the winners got to eat the loser's mascot, usually a small animal.
BTW - I gave out so many technicals, my nickname was "T-Rex". ![]()

Ah, yes, you obviously are referring to the uniform worn by some esteemed members of a certain Ohio association based in Cincinnati......
![]() You don't very often see shoes like that on D1 officials either. |

Had this image been more prominent, Breast Cancer Awareness organizations may have chosen a color OTHER THAN pink -- ANY COLOR.
