Illegally returning ball to backcourt:
A. Live Ball inbounds 1. Once team control is established in FC apply last to touch in FC and 1st to touch in BC. 2. If A has team control there is an Exception for a B player who jumps from his FC, secures ball while airborne (new team control) and returns to floor in his BC. B. Live ball during throw in. 2. Since there is team control during throw in there is no airborne player exception for the throw in team. 3. The exception does apply for a B player. |

Thank you DHL and for the other guy for the PM.
I also understand that FIBA does have the "3-points rule" approach dribbling across the DL (two feet + ball). In addition, they removed the necessity to "always be progressing across the DL". If the ball hasn't yet bounced in the BC, and A1 stands in the BC and catches the ball, what is the FIBA call?

During inbounding:
1) Player A2 standing in front court, passes to A1 in back court= violation. 2) Player A2 standing astride division line, passes ball to A1 in back court= legal play, no violation. cheers-
