Called varsity games last night at the school a mile from my home. JV coach for the visitors is also from here so it wasn't a secret who I was. Visitors led the boys game for three quarters then had a total meltdown in the fourth, were outscored 21-8 by the home team and lost by about 10. With 20 seconds left, V coach read me the foul count for about the fourth time, (it was very one-sided, something like 13-4) I said "That's enough." He said "Go ahead and give me one." So I did. I don't expect any fallout, but stranger things have happened.

why bother to give him a T w/ :20 left? Don't give him the satisfaction of a T. Don't play into that...just tell him "nope"...and be done w/ the game.

Don't give him the satisfaction of getting a "T". Instead, give him the satisfaction of making you like a complete wuss and getting away with it.

Coach: "jeffpea, you're an azzhole."
jeffpea: "There's only 20 seconds left so you're NOT going to get the satisfaction of getting a T."

Technical fouls are judged by the act, not the time that they happen to occur in a game.

Terrible advice imo.
