I only ask because I've been getting mixed responses when evaluated at the slot. Some like us on the court unless the ball comes right in front of you, others don't care as long as you get the angle to make a CC.
Like most obersvations this all stems from personal preference -- I wish observers would recommend things they *like* to do, rather than speak as through its the way that should be done. In the end our job is to officiate the game. No matter where you are on the court you will find yourself in positions that suck from time to time and its easy to say well if you were 1 step higher or lower or even on the court you would have a better angle.

I once had an observer who is almost a foot shorter than me tell me that this angle is the best and that I should always be in this position to be able to officiate certain plays. No offense but my extra foot in height affords me the luxury of being able to work the court differently than this guy. Where he sees pecks and shoulders I see top of heads.
