IL/MO game

What a disappointment last night. Got my presents all ready to wrap and watch it. Thought that was going to be a ban burner but turned out to be a dud! Kept switching over to the TCU?Boise State game. But Texas and Wisconsin was much better!

What? Are you a Tiger fan? I thought it was a great game. Of, course, that's just my non-unbiased opinion.

I did see one mechanic I'd never seen before. There was a steal by IL in transition, and the old T/new L (I believe it was Ted Hillary) didn't make it all the way back to the endline, so he stopped about even with the blocks, about halfway between the lane and sideline, put his hands on his thighs, bent at the waist, kinda like an umpire getting into position right before calling balls and strikes. I guess he was trying to communicate by body language that, yes, he didn't make it all the way to the proper spot, but by gosh, he's still watching that play intently.

No, not a tiger fan... but was wanting to see a good game. It was terrible. The Illini should be ranked after last night.

If it was that particular individual, I wouldn't be surprised. He has not been moving well for the past couple of years. His time has probably come.

Well, as a college basketball fan I would want a competitive game, but as an IL fan I would rather the games be easy. I think IL ended up over 50% from the floor, so it would've been hard for many teams to beat that.

With Gonzaga and Xavier both losing, I would think IL can make a case for a top 20 slot. It will just be interesting to see how they handle the Big 10 season.

Now, in his defense on that particular play, he was T, coming up the floor to almost half court, when the ball was tipped away and instantly going the other direction for a quick layup. I don't think there's anyone that would've been able to stop, change direction, and beat the players down the court.

I did see him live, when IL played Clemson. He may not be moving the same as a 25-year old, but he does seem to be moving better than he did last season.
