Foul on FT attempt

[Peach State Ref]

A1 is awarded two FT's after being fouled on a shot attempt. After making the 2nd FT attempt, but prior to Team B getting the ball from the net B2 pushes A2. The Official calls a foul on team B player. The foul is team B's seventh foul.

I believe that the ball is dead and since it is not in team control yet a technical foul should result on B2. Is this correct? Please site the rule and or casebook play.

It's got to be intentional (which it sounds like) or flagrant, otherwise it's ignored. If a foul is called it must be an intentional or flagrant technical foul.

Be a bit careful here...while the whistle may be after the FT is over, the actual contact for the foul may have been while the ball was live...

The play was described to me as if it were after the ball went threw the net, but prior to team B getting possession of the ball.
