NCAA 2.12 question
A1 fouls B1 under A1's basket on rebound, 9th team foul on A. Free throws not awarded, ball to team B under teams A basket. Team A steals the ball and makes a shot. Before Team B in balls the ball again, the error in not awarding B1 free throw is noticed and whistle.
I think they almost got it right. They had B1 shoot the 1 and 1 by her self, made both. Then they gave the ball to Team A under Teams B's basket, but using 2.12.5, which is used because there was a change in position, the ball should had gone to Team B under Teams A basket. P.S. if Team B had inbound it again before the error was noticed, then it is not correctable. So did I get that right? |

The goal counts. The FTs should be awarded with no one along the lane.
Team B should have a throw-in from anywhere along the endline when the game resumes. That was the POI. If the throw-in had begun, then it would be too late to correct the error. |
